If you have gone through a major trauma or life upheaval, lost a loved one, or feel you are in conflict with your family or spouseeven if you are simply struggling to adjust to normal changes, or dont seem to enjoy life the way you used to: Therapy can help you find answers that lead to lasting change.

How It Works

I provide individualized therapy suited to your unique goals and needs.  I start by simply listening—putting you in the “driver's seat” of your session.  You can tell your story however you need to tell it, weaving pieces of past and present, revisiting themes and noticing patterns, until together we create a “new narrative” of empowerment and growth.  I combine a classic, psychodynamic focus on association, awareness and insight with more specialized methods such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety, depression, weight management—issues that respond to specific change of thoughts, beliefs and actions.

We can also use body-based approaches—notably in the treatment of trauma and PTSD—that can help you better understand your own nervous system and somatic responses, and offer you some effective means of self-soothing, such as yoga, meditation, journaling and expressive movement.

Talk Therapy

Therapy—like art—is not “one size fits all.”

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

I specialize in treating complex trauma. If you have been the victim of a violent crime or endured an abusive relationship; if you are a veteran who has experienced combat trauma: I have specific tools and training, and I am here to help.

Anxiety, Depression and Grief

I am here to help also if you are suffering from depression, anxiety, or grief from the loss of a loved one; if you are struggling with low self-esteem, relationship issues, substance use, or just finding it a challenge to cope with change and the stressors of daily life.  Whatever the issues that have led you here, I can help you find balance and restore your lost sense of joy.

Couples Therapy

I am here to help also if you are suffering from depression, anxiety, or grief from the loss of a loved one; if you are struggling with low self-esteem, relationship issues, substance use, or just finding it a challenge to cope with change and the stressors of daily life.  Whatever the issues that have led you here, I can help you find balance and restore your lost sense of joy.
